Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday because I find human love fascinating.
I also find traditional gender roles / the traditional family to be interesting as well, however I feel that the word "traditional" is a word inserted tactically for political reasons. Whenever someone argues for these ideas, they aren't doing so because of "tradition" but because these roles seem to be natural and healthy, since they were evolutionarily guided. For example, advocating for stuff like a childfree lifestyle may make sense within the context of our civilization (the economy, the environment, technology, etc), but in the grand scheme of things it isn't a lasting thing because you get bred out of existence. If you aren't working with the grain of genetics, you're just going to lose.
So I've been working some more on the novel, and I've figured out some more details of the story.
I also released Scaremony's debut album, complete with a video promo that I'm going to shill around the internet.
It's honestly an amazing record. I'm glad I was lucky enough to release it. His cover of Quality of Armor is classic worthy. (You can buy the album at WeirdnessMerch.com, and listen to it on our bandcamp).
And I'm working with Sadbear on the release of his new album, which we haven't named yet. We basically have to come up with an artist name, redo some of the track titles, and put together a cover.
I have been experimenting with this style, which uses the multiply filter on layers. Probably going to make something in this aesthetic.
I have also been watching this very long video on Salvador Dali's painting methods. I watch it in little chunks.
And I've been working on some drawings which haven't materialized into much -- and some other little curiosities I've been looking into.
That's all for now. : )
